Welcome to the Terms and Conditions of Door 2 Door Movers. These terms outline the use of our packing and moving services in Adelaide. By accessing or using our services, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Moving Arrival Time

The arrival time provided during booking is an estimate. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances like extended previous jobs or customer-related delays. While we strive for punctuality, these delays are beyond our control.

2. Property Access and Parking

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform us about property access conditions, such as lifts, narrow staircases, or other constraints like spiral stairways or limited driveway space.

Parking arrangements must be made by the customer before the move. If our vehicle is parked without proper arrangements, any resulting fines will be charged to the customer.

3. Insurance Coverage

Your insurance does not cover damage in these situations.

  • Fragile items (e.g., glass, mirrors) not professionally packed are not covered.
  • Specialty items like antiques, pianos, or marble are excluded from insurance.
  • We are not liable for damage to packed boxes or goods once our team leaves the premises.
  • Any damage caused while the customer assists with the move is not the company’s responsibility.

4. Booking Cancellations

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 7 days: No charges.
  • Between 2-6 days: Up to 50% of the moving charge.
  • Less than 2 days: Up to 75% of the moving charge.
  • On the moving day: Up to 100% of the charge if the movers arrive or work begins.

Booking modifications, such as changes to dates or services, must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid additional fees.

5. Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

  • Bank Transfer:
  • Card Payment: A 3.5% surcharge applies to card transactions.

Payments must be settled upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Specialized Items: Pianos and Pool Tables

For moving items like pianos or pool tables, a minimum of four movers with appropriate equipment is required.

  • If fewer movers are requested, customers must arrange additional help at pickup and drop-off points.
  • Failure to assist will result in full cancellation charges.

7. Damage and Scratches

While we handle your belongings with care, minor marks or scratches may occur in challenging situations such as tight spaces or with large, heavy items.

Customers are encouraged to inspect their items during loading and delivery. Any issues must be reported within 24 hours. After this period, we are not liable for damages or scratches.

8. Reporting Loss or Damage

At the end of the move, you will be required to confirm that all goods have been delivered in satisfactory condition.

Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within 24 hours of delivery, with written confirmation. After this period, we cannot address any claims.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions. Any amendments to these terms require written consent from Door 2 Door Movers. In the event of inconsistencies with other agreements or documents, these terms take precedence.

10. Final Checks

Ensure the truck is empty before the movers leave the premises. Door 2 Door Movers is not responsible for any items left behind once the vehicle departs.
